Off we go into another year. Meetings, planning, admin, pastoral care, conversations, oh did I say…….MEETINGS, outreach, hatch, match and dispatch, reading, study AND of course 52 Sundays……….yep 52 wonderful opportunities to lead your people into His presence and offer them a few moments, in the midst of hectic lives and uncertain times, to both understand a little better and experience a little more of Gods Goodness. Welcome to 2018!

I’m feeling quite excited at present. In a few weeks’ time I will be ‘re-entering’ pastoral leadership. After a 12 year break I am heading back and I can’t wait. If you have a look at this 90 second vid you will hear me talk about this new season of life Jeanette and I are entering into. God is good!

LeadershipWorx (LW) is now up and running. My Operations Manager-Karyn Woodhouse is going to be running LW on a day to day basis. The parting of our ways with WCA has been a text book experience and we will continue to be good friends going forward. God is Good!

To that end if you would like to continue receiving my weekly blog as part of the ministry of LW then please do nothing. However, if you wish to stop receiving them then please feel free to drop Karyn a note at karyn.woodhouse@leadershipworx.org.nz

Carey Nieuwhof in Hamilton, Wellington and Dunedin, 13-17th May 2018.

The Pastors day will cover the following topics:-

  • The High Impact Leader
  • Breaking Growth Barriers (esp. the 200 barrier)
  • 10 Predictions About Future Church
  • Renewing The Leaders Heart

I will open each day with a talk entitled ‘The NZ context’.

All information and the registration facility is here.

Finally talking about Future Church. Here Carey has written his annual ‘prediction’ blog. I would highly recommend that you take 10 minutes and make this essential reading as soon as you are able. His No 2 trend - ‘The Digital Will Become Real’ and his No.6 trend – ‘A Desire For Non-Downloadable Experiences’ compete with each other but that makes it all the more interesting and challenging as we all navigate a whole new world including a new church world.

“Hey Pastor……..things are not like they used to be”. But you know that already.

Hope you have a fantastic year and hope to see you soon.

Blessings

Alan
