Dear Pastors
Today, I would simply like to share a few thoughts by way of pastoral affirmations and encouragement.
Please Remember:-
- You are a child of God. You are loved and accepted more than you can comprehend. So lean in! [Jn1:11-13]
- God is speaking. In amongst the cacophony of noise and current controversies God’s still small voice can be heard. So listen carefully! [1Samuel3:9-10]
- God is creative. Oh yes He has made the world in all it’s beauty and splendour. God has a solution to all your problems that are better than your own. So look up! [Ja3:17]
- Your natural strength and energy levels are limited but the Holy Spirit’s power knows no limits. So be filled! [Eph.5:18]
- God loves each member/attendee of your congregation even the VDP’s (very difficult people). So be kind! [1Cor.13:4]
And finally. Current vaccination rates in NZ are at 88% and fast heading to 95% of the eligible population. This means that on average this is the number of folks vaccinated in your church, more or less. Most Christians trust our science and medical fraternity and are wanting to do the right thing. So please keep your balance as you navigate your response to the new Traffic Light System.
