Dear Pastors
Spiritual Vitality
As 2021 draws to a close there will be a lot on your mind. You are probably feeling ‘bushed’ and perhaps a bit beaten up. It’s been a tough year……perhaps the toughest you have had to date. You are running on an empty tank. You need to refuel, recharge and renew. You need a break. We all do.
But time doesn’t stand still. 2022 is just around the corner. Covid-19 is going to be with us for at least another two years according to many experts, perhaps longer.
So my friends please take some time to restore your spiritual passion.
You know this already. But skills, competencies and experience will only take you so far in ministry. After that you and I need spiritual vitality.
Here is what spiritual vitality means to me:-
- Being well connected to Jesus because “Jesus IS the Answer for the World Today”.
- Being calm in the midst of the storm.
- Being filled with Joy.
- Being real (we live in very challenging times) yet full of Faith.
- Not letting the bad news overwhelm me.
- Finding creative solutions to our current problems.
- Seeing opportunity where others see hopelessness.
- Having great discernment.
So with this said I want to wish you a very happy Christmas and a refreshing holiday. May your strength be renewed and your spiritual passion restored.
I am looking forward to catching up again next year.
Blessings
Alan
